Black social movements in contemporary Colombia

The last three decades have transformed the south Pacific coast of Colombia in profound ways. The community workers and activists who spoke about the violent decade from 2000 onwards showed no trace of agitation. They were either worn thin by the experience or they thought it better to maintain a calm veneer.
